MANDATORY RECYCLING ENFORCED
Attention: Who's Not Recycling?' It has come to the Townships attention that some residents are not recycling. As required by State Law, it is mandatory for each resident to recycle. To ensure each resident is recycling, Allamuchy Township is implementing a Recycling Warning Program in accordance with our local ordinance. If recyclables are found mixed in with your trash a bright green Warning sticker will be placed on your garbage container. First time offenders its just a Warning, second time offenders and your garbage containing recyclables will not be picked up and fines may result. Once the recyclables are removed, your garbage will be picked up on the next regularly scheduled garbage collection day. It has always been the policy of Allamuchy Township to make recycling as easy and user friendly as possible. Our current Single Stream Recycling Program allows residents to recycle Glass food containers, Aluminum and Tin Cans, Plastics 1-5 & 7, newspaper, magazines and cardboard in one container. How easy is that! For a recycling schedule, list as to what to recycle, reminder sticker for your calendar, and a recycling sticker for your Recycling Container, please contact town hall at 908-852-5132 X 110. Thank you for helping our environment. |
